The Department of RISE, CGC Landran, is delighted to share that the
Techno Commercial Research Fellows, Mr. Ramandeep Saini and Ms. Bishakha Thakur, attended the 2nd International Conference: Microgen Futuristica-2026, organized at the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The conference with the theme “Microbial Innovations: Local Challenges, Global Solutions,” brought together researchers, academicians, and industry experts to discuss recent advancements in microbiology and allied fields.
We are proud to share that Mr. Ramandeep Saini (Techno Commercial Research Fellow) presented his research article titled “Phytochemical Screening and Antibacterial Effect of Cardamom and Nutmeg Seed Extracts on Microbes Affecting Oral Health in Humans” at the conference and was awarded the 2nd Prize in recognition of the quality and impact of the research.
Under the guidance and mentorship of Prof. (Dr.) Neha Sharma (Dean R&D, CGC Landran) the Department of RISE continues to progress and achieve new milestones of success. The study focused on evaluating the antimicrobial potential of natural plant extracts against oral pathogens, highlighting their possible applications in oral healthcare.
The experience provided valuable exposure and an opportunity to engage with experts further strengthening the pursuit of excellence in research.
