One-Day Stakeholder Engagement Workshop on “PFAS & Microplastics in Food and Water”
The Department of RISE, CGC Landran is delighted to share that Ms.Divjot Kaur and Dr. Aarushi Ahlawat, Techno-Commercial Research Fellows working under the Industry-Sponsored Waste Management Project, actively participated in the One-Day Stakeholder Engagement Workshop on “PFAS & Microplastics in Food and Water” held on 23 June 2026. The workshop was organized by the Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) in collaboration with the Food Safety And Standards Authority Of India (Fssai), CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow-IITR), Lucknow, and Waters Corporation Pvt. Ltd. The workshop brought together researchers, industry experts, and regulatory authorities to discuss the challenges of PFAS, microplastics, and other emerging contaminants.
The workshop featured expert talks by Dr. Satyen Kumar Panda (Advisor, FSSAI), Dr. Bhaskar Narayan (Director, CSIR-IITR, Lucknow), Dr Ajit Dua (CEO, PBTI), Dr DEVENDRA KUMAR PATEL (Scientist-G, CSIR-IITR), Shri Shrinivas Joshi (Corporation Associate Director, Waters India Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. Dr. ANBUMANI SADASIVAM (Scientist-E, CSIR-IITR), Dr. Akhilesh K Yadav (Scientist-D, CSIR-IITR), and Dr. Kailash Khulbe (Scientist-G, CSIR-IITR), highlighting key advancements in PFAS, microplastics, and environmental safety.
