Innovation Challenge 2.0

ACIC RISE Association, CGC Landran organized the grand finale of ‘Innovation Challenge 2.0,’ on August 9, 2024 in collaboration with Innov8, an Edtech startup incubated at ACIC RISE Association, Center for Boudhik Sampada, Startup Punjab, Startup India, and the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST, Chandigarh)—showcased an impressive range of innovative solutions. The event began with a warm welcome from Dr. P. N. Hrisheekesha, Campus Director of CGC Landran. The esteemed jury members Dr. Saurabh, Incubation Manager at IIT Ropar, and Dr. Satyendra Singh, CEO of IISER Mohali evaluated the diverse and groundbreaking projects presented by the student finalists. From over 80 national entries, 18 finalist teams were chosen to present their innovative solutions across critical areas such as smart mobility and safety, waste management, advanced manufacturing, disaster management, agritech, and healthcare. These projects exemplified exceptional creativity and problem-solving abilities, addressing some of today’s most pressing challenges. Dr. Ruchi Singla, Director of Research & Innovation, distributed prizes and interacted with school principals, underscoring the importance of fostering young talent. Additionally, Dr. Dinesh Arora, IPR Head at CGC Landran, delivered an informative session on intellectual property rights and the resources available at the Centre for BoudhikSampada, and concluded the event with a vote of thanks. With a total prize pool of Rs. 1,32,000 awarded to the winners, the event underscored a strong commitment to nurturing a culture of innovation.
