The Department of RISE (R&D), CEC–CGC Landran, successfully inaugurated the ICSSR-Sponsored Two-Day National Conclave on “GST 2.0: Compliance, Cost & Competitiveness – Empowering MSMEs & Startups in India’s Digital Growth Era” on 18 August 2026.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Vice Chairman S. Parampal Singh Dhillon; Prof. (Dr.) Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director; and Prof. (Dr.) Neha Sharma, Dean – Research, along with Director Principals, HoDs, faculty members, industry leaders, and distinguished guests.

The inaugural session featured:

• Ceremonial lamp lighting
• An address on GST 2.0 by Prof. (Dr.) Neha Sharma
• Release of the Conclave Souvenir
• Presentation of the Conclave Report by Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Arora, IPR Head & Convenor

Eminent speakers shared valuable insights into MSMEs, startups, fintech, GST reforms, technology, and competitiveness. With more than 140 participants and 105 shortlisted research abstracts, the conclave witnessed strong academic and industry participation.

Key highlights of the day included:

• Grassroots Innovators Award Ceremony
• Two expert panel discussions on MSMEs and technology
• Five technical sessions covering MSME competitiveness, fintech, technology, global practices, and the future of GST 2.0

The day concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Deepika Sharma, Publication Head & Co-Convenor.
