The ACIC RISE Association organized a community engagement session at Gigamajra Village, Mohali, attended by SHG coordinators. The session focused on enlightening them about ways to boost their earnings through the sale of phulkari and other handicrafts in the market. Sessions like this contribute to nurture the Nari Shakti initiative by Honorable PM Modi. Also, SHGs have been proven to be an effective mechanism for poverty alleviation and women’s empowerment in India.
