The Department of Research, Innovation, Startups and Entrepreneurship (RISE), CGC Landran, organized “AYUSH KISSAN” on 05 June 2026 , CGC Landran, Mohali, to commemorate World Environment Day 2026. The programme was conducted under the theme “ਹਰਬਲ ਉਗਾਈਏ, ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਬਚਾਈਏ, ਆਤਮਨਿਰਭਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਬਣਾਈਏ” to promote herbal cultivation, environmental conservation, and self-reliant agricultural practices.
The event featured expert talks by Dr. Raminder Singh Ghuman, In-charge, Farm Advisory Centre, SAS Nagar, Dr. Avneet Kaur , Department of Horticulture, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, and Mr. Jaswinder Singh, Technical Advisor of Dragon Fruit Farming. Dr. Ghuman emphasized the importance of medicinal and aromatic plants in enhancing farmers’ income and supporting environmental sustainability. Organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Neha Sharma, Dean Research, RISE, and supported by Dr. Amresh Kumar, CEO, ACIC RISE Association, the programme successfully created awareness about sustainable farming practices, environmental conservation, and innovative agricultural opportunities, contributing to the vision of a greener environment and an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
