Capacity Building Session on “Leveraging STEM Innovation in AI Era: A Leap from School to Industry”
A Capacity Building Session on “Leveraging STEM Innovation in AI Era: A Leap from School to
Industry” was organized for the students of Government Senior Secondary School, Machhali Kalan by the Department of RISE to celebrate National Science Day. The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Neha Sharma (Dean, RISE) and Dr. Amresh Kumar Panjla (CEO, ACIC RISE Association), with contributions from Ms. Sonia Jindal (Vertical Head, Drone Technology), Er. Jaspreet Kaur (Vertical Head, Cybersecurity), Mr. Satwinder Singh (Vertical Head, Advanced Manufacturing), and Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Arora (Head, IPR Cell, CGC Landran), who collectively delivered expert sessions and demonstrations to provide students with practical exposure to emerging technologies.
The session introduced students to cybersecurity concepts such as digital safety, ethical hacking basics, cyber threats, and data privacy, while also creating awareness about safe online practices and career opportunities in the cybersecurity domain. Students witnessed a live demonstration of 3D printing technology, learning how digital designs can be transformed into physical objects and how this technology supports prototyping and product development across industries. They were also introduced to drone technology, including drone design, components, working principles, and applications in areas such as agriculture, surveillance, disaster management, and logistics through an interactive demonstration.
The visiting students further explored the IPR Cell at CGC Landran, where they were introduced to the fundamentals of patents and the patent filing process, helping them understand the importance of protecting innovative ideas. The session and lab visits provided meaningful exposure to advanced technologies and inspired students to pursue STEM-driven careers while understanding the growing role of AI-enabled innovation in shaping the future workforce.
