Awareness Session/Outreach Program on the Open Challenge Program (OCP)

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, has been selected as a Spoke Centre for Electropreneur Park, thereby playing a key role in nurturing aspiring entrepreneurs through structured incubation support. Electropreneur Park, India’s first dedicated incubator for Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) startups, was launched in August 2016 by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
In this capacity, CGC Landran organized an Awareness Session/Outreach Program on the Open Challenge Program (OCP) for students from various reputed engineering institutions. The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Neha Sharma, Dean Research CGC, Landran, and SPOC–EP, along with Dr. Amresh Kumar, CEO, ACIC RISE Association, Department of RISE. The primary objective of the session was to sensitize students, innovators, and early-stage startups about the opportunities available under Electropreneur Park (EP) 2.0.
The session was delivered by Er. Sonia Jindal, Project Coordinator–EP, and Prof.(Dr.) Dinesh Arora, IPR Head, who emphasized the significance of innovation-driven entrepreneurship and intellectual property creation in strengthening India’s ESDM ecosystem. The speakers highlighted the launch of EP 2.0 through the Open Challenge Program, which offers equity-free incubation, access to advanced infrastructure, expert mentorship, and financial support.
Aligned with national initiatives such as Startup India, Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and the India Semiconductor Mission, the program aims to encourage innovators to develop scalable, IP-driven solutions and contribute to India’s growing technological leadership.
