About Us

Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC) RISE Association is a Section 8 Company supported by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, Government of India, aims to nurture culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in Semi-urban and Rural India; operating under ambit of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran, Mohali, as a host institution and holding the prestegious status of MSME-HI. The incubator thrives to create a nexus between Grassroots Innovators, Startups, Researchers, Industry Professionals, and Academic Institutions, enabling them to transform innovative ideas into sustainable, investment-ready, and market-driven ventures. ACIC RISE aligns its mission with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by offering a dynamic, sector-agnostic incubation ecosystem that helps Innovators and Startups turn ideas into commercially viable businesses.

As a key innovation ecosystem facilitator, the incubator acts as an interface by converging Startups with government and institutional support through initiatives such as the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (launched by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), (Government of India), Startup Punjab (Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Punjab), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of India (MSME) programs, (Government of India), and other national and state-level innovation schemes. Built on the “Think, Design, Build” philosophy, its state-of-the-art Prototyping and Fabrication, Lab facilities (3D Printing& AICTE-IDEA Lab) enable rapid product development, testing, and validation of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) through precision engineering equipment, and sector specific Centre of Excellence (CoE) facilities and electronics development infrastructure. The incubator operates as a cross-disciplinary innovation ecosystem, leveraging institutional facilities in Drone Technology, Cybersecurity, Advanced Manufacturing and Waste Management & Circular Economy. Recently, the incubator has also been recognized as a Spoke Centre of Electropreneur Park 2.0, an initiative supported by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI); set up by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Startups incubated at ACIC RISE benefit from access to the institution’s in-house Intellectual Property Management & Commercialization Cell, supported by the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh, for patent, trademark, copyright, and design registration support. ACIC RISE is envisioned to create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that empowers Startups , microentreprenures, and underserved segments of the society to build sustainable enterprises and generate meaningful socio-economic impact across India.
